Sunday

Lie-in

There is something glorious and decadent about a Sunday lie in, it’s enhanced by making a cup of tea and then going back to bed.  This must be how normal people spend a Sunday. I like the idea but running and swimming gets in the way sometimes

Relatives

My mother had laid on a lunchtime buffet meal for a few friends and relatives. I spend a pleasant afternoon eating, drinking and listening to my relatives and their friends talking about “the old times”. I’d never heard about the uncle the car dealer. He was a very shady character who was not averse to cheating and swindling. Apparently things got too hot for him and he emigrated to South Africa.

Tired

It is amazing how tiring eating, drinking and chatting is. I got home, same on the sofa and faded rapidly from consciousness. Tonight was not going to be a late night.
